How to Apply

Is Your Public Entity Eligible for IPEP Membership?

Public Risk Underwriters, IPEP's Plan Administrator, provides marketing services to attract qualified members. To apply for coverage under IPEP, prospective members are first urged to contact their local independent insurance agent. The local independent insurance agent will contact his or her representative at Public Risk Underwriters and initiate the application process. Agent support may be obtained by calling the Public Risk Underwriters Sales Department directly at 800-382-8837. Public Risk Underwriters' staff will assist throughout the application and quote process.

IPEP is an Indiana not-for-profit corporation organized in December 1989. Its purpose is to operate a self-funded group program for the purpose of satisfying the obligations of the members under the Indiana Workers' Compensation Act, the Indiana Workers' Occupational Diseases Act and the Indiana Employers' Liability Act. Membership in IPEP is limited to political subdivisions and governmental entities of the State of Indiana.
