" We, the City of Madison Utilities Department, are very proud and honored to have been a recipient of the 2019 IPEP Safety Grants for our Stormwater, Sewer and Wastewater departments. The monies awarded will be used to purchase various types of safety equipment for each of these departments. With the help of the Indiana Public Employers’ Plan and this new equipment, the City of Madison hopes to improve its employees’ safety in their ever-changing work environment and reduce our workers’ compensation exposure. Receiving grants such as these helps reduce the pressure on the utility budgets and helps reinforce the importance of safety in the workplace. We greatly appreciate what IPEP is helping the city to accomplish in the field of safety for our employees."
